Default rear springs dropped 1.25" not 1.8"

Changed struts/springs last week. Front dropped all the way. Rear only dropped 1.25" not the full 1.8". Pulled the rears out and reinstalled them. Same problem. I know it is up to 1.8" drop but I did not expect that there would be .5" difference. Any suggestions?

heheh.. did you drive the car around for a while or did you just look at the drop after you put them on, and decided it was too small? You have to drive the car for up to 50mi. sometimes to let the springs settle. Then you 'll see a bigger drop. What kind of springs did you install? Eibach Sportlines or H&R/Neuspeed sports? Many times the front drops more than the rear. Most Sports springs drop the rear 1.5" while the fronts drop 1.8-2". Don't worry. They 'll settle and drop more. Give them some time. I didn't get the "full" drop on mine for about 50-60mi. Actually they 've been settling constantly. Now after 1. 5yrs with H&R OEs (.75" drop supposedly), the drop has increased to about 1.3". My auto-x racing a lot accelerates the rate at which all my suspension components settle, no doubt..

Check his sig, dude. Suspension Techniques springs and KYB GR2 dampers.

This question is not to insult you or anything, but are you sure the springs on the rear aren't the ones for the front?

Thanks for getting back to me guys. I would have replied sooner but headed to the beach for the weekend. No puter allowed. The springs are in the correct position. Being front in front, rear in rear. All in rightside up. I had to redo it all myself after my mechanic put the rear passenger spring in upside down! He also forgot to cut the bumpstops in half. I bought a spring compressor and enlilsted the help of a friend who has done this many times. Owe him a favor now! I think they just need time to settle. I could easily jam 3 fingers between tire and fender lip just a few days ago. Tried again today and could barely get 3 fingers in.
