NGK or Denso.

Do not use anything else in your Honda engine.

NGK has a part finder on their site. Use the plugs they recommend for the 2000 Integra Type-R.

i can too. i'm still a little suprised the price stay as high as it is.

I'd only take a CTR swap over my old STD motor. and only for the fact of DPFI to MPFI.

IMO

If you do buy an ITR crank while your at it............1600cc isnt going to do much....the extra torque of the 1.8L will be worth the effort of swapping out the crank.

1.6L < 1.8L

i already had that setup (basicly) an ls block with gsr crank and CTR pistons with a fully done up b16 head. so i know how good i is. it ripped. i sold it though and now im not as power hungery as i used to be. maybe in the future ill build myself another monster. but for now, ill build a nice reliable, 1.6. ive always wanted one.

of all the b series heads from what i have read the b16b is just the best. that plus a b18 block stroked to 2.0 L with CTR internals would be just about the best honda engine ever. I would do it if i shat $100 bills

lol b16b's are a joke plus stroking the engine will change the engines rod/stroke ratio making it not so safe to rev high.

stroking them to a 1.8 will give it the exact rod/stroke ratio of a gsr/itr motor
a b16b is a destroked itr motor.

not if u give them a JUN stroker kit. the stroke is 89mm... the same as an LS.

B16B = 185 hp = around $3800-$4000

B18C5 = 195 hp = around $4200-$4500

It'd be more logical to get a ITR swap. JDM parts aren't cheap to replace nor easy to find on a B16B. And weather JDM or USDM on a ITR, part prices are near any B series part and everyone has them.

B16B is underrated by Honda to 185ps by cutting off the motor @ 8200 rpm.

That was done most likely for tax purpose, the same reason that its 1600cc in size.

The true number is closer to 200ps. Most JDM tuner raised the red line to 9k!

The major difference between B18C5 and a B16B is the crank/rod/piston, thats all.

Everything else between the valve cover and the oil pan is the same. B16B also

didn't get the 62mm TB, it has a 60mm TB instead.

i guess they forgot to cut my motor off at 8200. but i agree 100% about the 9 k limit. sucks making power to fuel cut.
