Haven't seen you on here in awhile (maybe I have just been blind). Anyways, I thought you were going with an H22 motor? Those times are pretty good. I did comparable in my 92 Si hatch with GSR motor. 14.3 @97mph with a 2.3 60ft (All-season Radials OWN ).

Yea, haven't really been around much lately. I was going to do an H22 swap... real close to buying one too... but then my stock motor finally went caput and ease of swap/affordability came first... oh well, I'm not sweatin' it too much.

Thats cool. GSR motor is still a nice choice JDM or USDM motor? As far as your times go, what tires/wheels were you running with? What is done to the motor?

JDM GSR, all I have is Intake and Exhaust. I'm running 15in. Rota Group N's w/ Falken Ziex 512's wrapped on 'em front psi was at 22ish... Nothing done to the motor, completely stock.

Yeah, my motor is the JDM GSR as well. When I went 14.3 @97, my first gear was ALL wheel sping (hence the 2.3 60 foot). Only thing done then was Skunk2 intake manifold, A'PEXi World Sport exhaust, and a custom "ram-air" headlight. Hmm, maybe I got a strong *** motor or something

Thanks for the comments fella's... I got lucky with my swap. It was the ugly duckling but it runs like a champ... I can't wait to open this beast up and see what I can get out of her.

Question: On the GSR motor, does a Skunk2 IM take away enough torque where if I don't have cam's it's really not worth getting on there? (if that doesn't make sense I apologize)

From what I've heard the JG is good for turbo apps and Skunk2 for NA, any input?

I don't think so. My Skunk2 intake mani made a good difference on the top. After I switched to CTR cams, it worked even better.

No, it won't. Only if you're using the stock GSR ECU. (or the crossover anyway)
