has anyone replaced the windshield seal on their CRX? Not the glue ****, but just the rubber trim that runs around the outside. How is it held in there? is it just pressed into place, or is it glued as well? i'm just curious becaust mine is starting to lift out slightly. due to age i guess.

 

I just had my windshield replaced a month ago. I watched him do it. It's held in by the same sealant that seals the windshield in. It is pressed into the unhardened glue (sealant) and then dries in place.

 

You can just buy the seal, drop push it into place and make sure you stuff it in so its water tight, then you put the sealent(glue) and just put the plastic liner/cover over it and itll hold.

 

Does anyone know where to buy the sealant? I'm guessing pepboys/autozone would have it, but i'm not sure what to look for.
