Default JDM Style Headlights with HID?

Does anyone know or have any problems with installing H.I.D. into the JDM style Headlights?

From what i've experienced from my friends cars is that the JDM headlights shoot left. Because of they drive on the opposite side of course. So light tends to flare to the left instead of standard USDM headlights that tend to flare right for signs on american roads.Don't get me wrong... the HIDs will still be better than regular halogens but with the JDM housing might not be as good as USDM ones. Right turns on US streets might be bad for you. Well thats what my friend says with his JDM ITR.

HID kits have now become cheap, when i bought my first set in 1997, let me tell you, they were like 700 installed and they were so real looking, now i see the kits people get these days, and the best ive seen is similar to stock, but you can tell its a bootleg kit because its not compared to the positioning of the stock filament, so it doesnt give off the original reflection of light, i would suggest, the best site for info and to order HID kits is http://www.misterjung.com

that is where you can get great info and selection without the hassle...as far as everything else goes, i have both the stanley and the knock-offs, and if you cant see stanley written on them from more than one foot of distance, no difference, but the stanley's do emit light oddly (not that odd), like its right hand drive, so you have to be careful, but the stock fogs can fix that, and look clean...you know, there is always something you can do, just gotta think it up...yea, its not hard putting HID's in the knockoffs although ive heard with heat the housing can melt, so build quality can be the main question... ?

the only difference i have seen was the bulb was a H4 so you would have to use a H4 HID kit instead of a 9006

so what? either way jdm with HIDs wont help as much as you might think. Like stated before. Yes it is an advantage over stock halogens but still shoots left rather than right. If you turn right people be ready for a dark blind spot. Well thats what my friend with the JDM ITR said. A right turn might own you. and i did say IF they were the fake projectors ones. Never said they were

reason im looking in the jdm black housing lights is because my stock oem lights are cracked...so i need to buy new headlights, all i want to know if the light ouput will be great with HID in the black housing or should I just use regular H4 Bulbs...

spankey, Your not getting it man... They are REPLICAS... they are not manufactured with the jdm beam pattern in mind. They have the same beam pattern as any oe replacement light in the US only diff. is that they are made to look like the ones that come on jdm accords.

I just gave them a call and they said that these are the Real HID Retrofit Kit and that they do not glare. True or not true?

no offense but that kit looks like it can probably give you problems in the future, look for something with everything integrated, itll be the same price probably and less hassle, check out the http://www.misterjung.com website, its worth a gander, and a lot of questions are answered on there, and clearly, and i know the guy, i've had a few interactions with him, he is super innovative and knows a shitload...so dont be afraid to communicate with him...
