my friend has a crx and this is his problem:

his seat belt light comes on and the door "is open" beep is on no matter what he does.

his door is shut and his belt is on. he bought the car like this and would like to fix this problem.

is there any way he can disable the beeps or the selt belt light?

check the wires under the seat it may be disconected or broken

 

Or easier way take the buzzer and rip it off.... Or remove the fuses for the buzzer.

everything is fine..nothing disconnected.


where is the buzzer thing?

 

im currently haveing the same exact problem, i have no idea how to fis it either....

 

check the switch on the door jam.. many times the connection is just not being opened when the door is closed...

take it off.. its a phillips head and play with it..

the buzzer is actually in the plastic base on the rear view mirror. If you unplug it it won't beep of course.

done that already since it is the most obvious thing.

so the buzzer thing is coming from behind the mirror? it kinda sounds like it coming from the door speakers!! gRR

 

you might want to check one of your fuses. mine was making a beeping noise and it was because the battery wasent making a good connection. but check and make sure a fuse isnt burnt out.

 

does the fuse have a name?

 

im not sure what fuses it is? sorry all i know is i took all mine out and looked and one was burnt out and replaced it but that was awhile ago didnt even think of caring to remmeber what one it was.

 

The easiest way to disable the beeps it by taking the plastic cover off that holds the mirror to the roof of your car off, Then there are a few screws on it, and what not, and you will see a plug, just unplug it, or what not. Its pretty easy to figure out once you take the cover off the mirror, the buzzer is the little plastic round piece with the hole in the middle, you can just rip it off, or you may be able to unplug it, i did mine a while ago.
