why is my car so bumpy?
I installed tokico blues onto the car but I didn't know what kind of coilovers i was putting in there. My question is, would my car be really bumpy if I had some generic coilovers? Or would the tokico shocks be this bumpy? (Had to replace my other shocks and springs because the shocks were dead and I felt like I should just put in my coilovers to make the car look lowered.)
heres a pic of my tokico blues. (its new, it just looks kind of dirty)
if I had some ground control coilovers would that help?
(oh and my coilovers are new also)
If anyone can help me, please tell me asap!

How low is your car? IS it so low it's resting on the bumpstops?
Generic coilovers could also be the problem. My car is bumpy as hell cuz of my Weapon Rs. I have Tokico Illuminas set on the softest setting and i'm still bouncing all over the place.

i used to be hecka bumpy on my weaponR's but i raised them up yesturday like 1 1/2 inches (they were all the way down in the front) and they ride alot better now. I would say it might be cause your too low and riding on the bumpstops.
i've had a set of blue's before, doesn't the installation paper tell you to trim the bumpstops? i believe they tell you to cut off 50-75 percent of the bumpstop
Welcome to the world of lowered suspension. I have Tokico Blues with Ground Control Coilovers and I bounce all day long..... and I wouldnt have it any other way. You can feel the road, turn on a dime and drive corners that normal cars would take to 50 at 90+. Its fun to pass a BMW M3, Supra, or even the occational Ferrari on the outside of a 2 lane corner going almost twice as fast as they can. Well maybe not the Ferrari but it is still a blast. You have to make sacrafices to have fun.

push the shock shaft in and see if it comes out, I blew my driveside tokico blue last week and it started getting bumpy on my ground controls, I am only lowered about 1.5inches too

my car isn't that low. Its about a 1-1/2 inch gap between the wheel and the fender in front.
so basically most of you guys are saying that it could be my generic coilovers?

i was resting on my bumpstops on my tokicos for sucha long time the bumpstop went into the shock it was crazy...but yea if ur **** is hella bumpy it should be your shocks i bought some genric coilovers for my car dumped to the end of the coil and my **** was hella bumpy i didnt like it..and 2 days after that i got in a accident....and i found out the i had some bad shocks..when i took them out the shocks were fine...i just was told coilovers and tokicos dont mix....now from my exp if u wanna be safe get some better coilovers or better shocks...i totaled my car from genric coilovers and ok shocks
the bunpstop is that orage thing on the top
one thing you can do is grind off the weld on the brake cable bracket and move up the bracket. Supposed to improve your ride A LOT. I'm thinking about doing this myself as soon as I pick up a grinder
