Crank Brace removal? (GSR)

I dont know what to call it, but I cannot get the "brace" off of the bottom of my GSR block. I pulled out the 6 bolts then gave it a tug. Nothing. Is there something I'm missing?

Use the wood handle of a hammer and tap on the sides untill it comes loose. Thats about it.

Are you talking about the girddle? Just tap it with a wooden handle or a plastic or brass hammer. It has dowel pins holding it so try to take it iff pretty straight , try not to twist it.
