Default Is this possible?

I have a DOHC ZC with pistons rods and all in it, but no head, can i put a z6 head on it? Even though it is DOHC? Also what timing belt will i need to get? And what head gasket?

D fits D
B fits B
SOHC and DOHC dont get along.

Very few exceptions.

so if i take my D15 non Vtec block i can get Vtec by adding a B16 head, is that what your saying?...and what kind of water pump would work best? would an LS timing belt work? and which alternator would i use? Type R?

What you really need is an NSX block and a 1.5 carbed head, it'll total mad sleeper yo bc you'll have the dohc vtec v6 block powah (theres vtec in block too )with teh sleeper carb head. All you need is lots of jb welb to cram all that power in.

apart from all the bs and jokes in this thread.. I have seen pics of a ZC head on a non-ZC d series block.. but that wouldnt even help you.

Actually it will fit, but you'll have some issues that I don't have time to explain. A ZC is a D series after all.

Call Honda Auto Salvage in Phoenix and ask them for a ZC head.

Well A SOHC ZC head will bolt onto a D-series (like the a6,z6,and y8) but the DOHC head will not.

They'll all bolt on to each other, it just causes problems if you don't know what your doing.

i wasnt askin if i could put a ZC head on a SOHC engine. I was askin if i could put a SOHC VTEC head on my ZC! Yall are saying stuff all backwards!!
