i talked to brian from hasport a while ago...in november they should be releasing a prototype swap kit for k series into eg/ek/dc. after that they're gonna look more into developing a new material to replace the polyurethane (material that wouldn't create as much vibration, but would still be stiff for a performance motor) then after that the ef kit for the k series should be going into production

as of now there are no mount kits for such a swap and it would be a pita to wire and would include alot of custom stuff not to mention the motor isnt goin to be cheap but if you have the time and money I say go for it but if your looking for something a little cheaper I would tell your bro to do a bseries swap and mod the hell out of it but to answer your question yes it can be done but my question to you is do you want to be the test bunny...

As was mentioned above we are working on a mout kit in the near future. The K20 engine is about an inch and a quarter taller than the B16A, so a hood with a raised center section like the Fiber Images SiR imatation for US cars may be helpful. It may work out otherwise, but I won't know for a while.

The wiring may not be all that hard and here's why. Theoretically you could make an adapter adapter harness for the few wires that have to go through the cars body harness and the E plug for the K20 ECU. Once it's figured out, it will be largely plug and play. Additionally, if someone hasn't already figured it out, the immobilizer should not be an issue by the time the kit comes out.

Anyway, don't expect our EF kit out any time before Christmas. But if it is, you'll be the first to know. If your kid brother really wants to do this swap, I'm sure he can register the screen name bigbrothersmoker.

yea i know thats wat i told him that he would kill me....but as for the engine we got that coming so that isnt the prob.

but for the adapters i guess we will c when we get the car. now i just have to wait to get a good price on a CRX in Cali. so if anyone knows someone selling one at a good price let me know.... also theoretically how fast do u think this car would be after the swap?....thanx guys

1997 civic hatch with k20a from type-r ran a 13.2 with street tires, since the crx is light and after a few upgrades the 12 could be seen, ?
