Default ART ITR + Cwest GT Wing! what do you think? (pics)

From the looks of it, this cars going to be a full race car. The owners in some special training program as we speak, need to be physically fit! LOL!

Thanks Yoshi! i'll keep in mind the next time i post images.

gsr squirrel: This car is pretty much a pure track (racing) car. It's hardly driven on the streets. Just street regisitered to make life easier. Wasn't bolted on for looks, more of performance. Anyways, i understand where your comming from, it does look odd on the streets.

Those look cool on the NSX, but kinda funky on the DC2 IMO.

Any pics of the whole car? JDM front, carbon hood, carbon spliter, Spoon wheels, lowered excessively, and that wing might just begin to look pretty damn good!

if you would have noticed the hood on the one pic... you'd know it was a USDM front end.

I would only use a wing that has been wind-tunnel tested or else you might get screwy results, create too much drag or worse cause turbulent air flow at the rear of the car.

Read the article in the latest SCC on wing design. It's actually pretty good.

Me no likey but this is a matter of opinion. Do these wings have any use aside from appearance?

Very Nice although I like it better with the C-Westin Body kit.
The Wing is about $1900 USD and is race proven on CWests cars So its not for looks its for performance and when its a track car who cares about looks
Is this Jacobs car?

I know the guys from Best Motoring a while back asked the same questions and Keiichi and his merry band of hoodlums did some testing on some circuit...(Tsukuba?) on an S15 with and without the ARC Magic GT Spoilers.

There was a pretty significant difference in lap times. I THINK, if you buy a wing from a company reputable enough ala C-West, they will tell you how to mount it accordingly based on their testing for max downforce, min drag. But that is just a guess as this Chugokujin carefully peruses the catalogs.

Personally, I love the look of that wing and only wish I could afford to have one too!! CARBON...Mmmmmmmm.....

Default Super wing...

Why is the rear windshield wiper still on the car? If you are looking to make the car more aerodynamic, wouldn't you want to remove something like the rear windshield wiper?

D~

I did see the USDM hood in the 1st pic. My comment revolved around the wing "maybe" looking better on a car with those options!

hmm correct me if i am wrong.

First, it doesn't look like the original C-West GT wing since it should be all carbon (even the supports)...the one you've shown looks more like a copy imo.

And also there is no way in hell the wing in your pic is for the DC2 (regardless of it being c-west or copy)

Look, the wing doesn't that far out as compared to the the one in the pics you've shown.

I think C-West started offering the GT Wing with those aluminum supports; it does look too big for the DC2 though.

it is the Cwest GT wing although not the very high end like the Cwest DC2 you have shown!....those things are very expensive!..

Really? the aluminum supports...hmm

all i know is that there are two types. The full carbon one (GT version) and the full aluminum which looks totally different from the GT version (you can see the aluminum version in my avatar).
