I use 10w30, personally. My motor tends to drink 5w30.

How many miles do you have?

5W30 is idea for the smaller engine, and since it's synthetic, it'll be fine. But if you do change to a non synthitic oil cause of the $$$ and u end up using bulk, the 5W30 is good for the summer cause it's not so thick, and 10W30 for the winter. But it doesnt really make that much of a differemce between 5 and 10. If i am rong, please correct me!!!!

I know my brother runs 5W30 in his gsr and it's a stock 1994 with 250,000 miles. and it still runs excellent.

IT's just 5Weight or 10Weight. I think one is heavier then the other.

Mine drinks 5W30 like it's going out of style. I switched to castrol syntec because I heard it tends to burn a lot less than mobil1. I'll let you know how it worked out in 2000 more miles.

5 is the consistancy when it is cold and 30 is the consistancy when it is hot. same goes for 10 cold and 30 hot. So really the 5w-30 is more ideal for winter b/c it will flow easier when cold and get ot he top of the motor to lubricate the cams quicker. Once the are hot they are the same consistancy. Some ppl who live in really cold climates even use 0w-30.

Yes, 5W30 can withstand colder temps so it depends on the climate where you live. In the summer I use 10W30 and in the winter I use 5W30.

I bought my car when it had 132,000 miles on it. Drop in Mobil 1 5w-30 on it. Now it has 189,000 miles without any failure. No problems at all. Haven't had any leaks.

My friend who has a newer year integra than me. My integra year is a 90 and his is a 95. He had about 2 oil leaks and has 145,000 miles on his car. Running on regular 10w-30 oil.

Me too. It says it's the high-performance vehicle oil. I beat on my car a lot so I figure this is what I should get. Would the type of oil affect how well VTEC works? I know that VTEC relies partly on oil pressure, so maybe I'm using too thick of an oil because I have to really listen for the 5800 secondaries sometimes.

if you have more than 80K miles use 10w30. Doesn't burn as bad as 5w30

you can also use 10w-30 in the winter too just as long as you're not in areas below 20°F. 5w-30 is just ideal for places under 20°F. 5w-30 is preferred for fuel economy so i just use 5w-30 all year.
