Default JDM Cluster wiring

I just got my JDM Type R cluster. I want to install it in my 98 GSR, but I think I might have to play with the wiring.

1) Seat belt light stays on at all times.
2) Fuel gauge doesn't work.
3) Temp gauge doesn't work.
That was just from plugging the cluster in and starting the car. Is there somewhere that I can get a wiring diagram for the JDM Type R cluster??? Or does anyone have a wiring diagram that they can email me??

i heard you can take the green wiring sheet off your original cluster and affix it to the jdm cluster. should work alright. give it a shot if you dont hear otherwise.

You have 2 choices.

Swap the JDM gauges into your USDM cluster

OR

Swap the green film from the USDM to your JDM.

Both will work.

I have changed the green film on the back of the gauges. now the gauges work fine. Now my problems are:
1 - when I open my door, the fasten seat belt sign comes on.
2 - When I take my seat belt off, my ABS light comes on.
3 - My door open light doesn't work.

Any other suggestions???

Find out what year the JDM cluster is from. I found out that the 94-97 clusters dont work in the 98 up cars. I ran into a similar problem, I got a JDM GSR cluster from a 97 and it didnt work in my 98 so I had to get a 98 up cluster...

Hope that helps.

here's what you do. figure out which light stays on when your doing a certain thing, ex. open your door and the seat belt light comes on. Well each pin follows a path on the green sheet to a spot where the sign (light) is. Just take out that pin (wire) that makes the light turn on when you open your door, and figure out which light is suppose to light up, follow the path to which pin location it should be and stick it in there.

Pins are the wires that plug into the harness which then plugs into your cluster.

I had to do this with my cluster. I put a JDM ITR into my EK. Everything works perfect.

just as it was stated above.
JDM 98+ gauges are plug and play with USDM 98+.
JDM 94-97 gauges are plug and play with USDM 94-97.
