Default rear sway bar on DX, I searched

I want to put a rear sway bar on my 89 DX. the easiest way would be to get the Si rear suspension and everything would bolt up. But I've heard of people drilling the lower control arm and making brackets for the sway bar. Has anybody here done that? I'll end up getting the Si stuff, but I just want to know if anybody has done this.

I have the same problem. CRX Si suspension on 88 civic STD. However, you can get the brackets welded on. There are bolt holes, they just don't have any thread. Either that or you could drill through the side so that you can access a nut and a bolt.

I have a 88 dx.
What I did was get si rear lcr's, the sway bar and the brackets for it.
Since I didn't have the holes threaded either, I took the stuff to a muffler welder guy and he welded the brackets to the frame, and we bolted it up to the lcrs.
Definately an improvement.
I'm sure you could make brackets and stuff for them, but it's easier and probably cheaper, and no hassle.
Good luck.

The best Rear swaybar that I have found for the Crx Dx would be the S/T swaybar kit known as Suspension Technique. The kit comes with everything you need including mounting brackets and all. Have any questions email me at Renemesis22@aol.com
