ok, i got a 90S and it has carbs. recentally, i picked up a copy of honda tuning and a guy is pulling over 300hp out of a carb motor. its a f22. so, he changed the carb, but i was wondering, who makes these carbs and where can i get them. and if i change just the carb, will my car have any big improvement?

 

Are you sure it is a 1990? Every honda made from 1990 on was fuel injected. Now the 1989 S had carbs. The f22 your talking about would have been converted back to carbs. You'd be better off switching to a fuel injected motor.

nope.. i know my car, its a 1990 prelude S and its carb. from 92 on they made all fuel injected. i dont want to go through all the hassel of finding a head and a computer off a Si to put on my block. the f22 i am talking about was carb origionally.. look at the article.

anyway, youre better off just swapping to a fi prelude motor, like the B20A5 or go with the JDM B20A

there already isnt much out there for us 88-91 prelude owners, so im damn sure there is much less for the carbed. might want to ask someone that owns a 2nd gen prelude, but a majority of those are fi.

they sell a JDM B20A longblock for about 700 shipped, but i dont know if you can use the B20A3 tranny with that.
