OT - Our 1967 Camaro Rs/Ss (For those who show passion in old cars)
Me and my dad have had this project of restoring this car for the last 13 years. Its a complete off the frame restoration project.. Frame was powder coated ect..
Paint work was just finished up on it last week. There letting the paint cure for 2 weeks then wet-sanding then buffing it.... Paint job with minor body work ran us alittle over 16 Thousand dollars.
Here are a few pictures i have on the PC to share with you guys.
Picture below isnt that great, But as you can see from the front end clip, The car was in primer and we had to remove the primer before delivery of the car to the paint shop
Picture below shows the front of the car with its awsome color on it.
Picture below is of the trunk lid, Posted this cause you can see the color really good in this pic.
Picture below shows the engine bay. The motor is a fully built 355 sbc with 144 B&M blower, Roller everything with forged internals and forged steel lunati crank. Should make about 600-750Whp off the motor. (Just a temporary motor)
Picture below shows the front passenger side, Looks like a sheet of Glass "werd"
Picture below shows the motor we are building. 432Sbc, 14:1 comp, roller everything,NOS 2 stage pro fogger. Should put around 1100-1200Hp out on spray.
Picture below shows our next project after this winter and the camaro is fully put together.
Hope you guys who like the old cars like what you've seen.... If you have any questions feel free to ask. If i cant answer the Q i will ask my dad and surly enough he can answer it. All the body work and paint was done by Lonny Gordon and his crew down at "The Shine Shop" in wrightsville Pennsylvania..
Yep.... 16 grand.... The pictures above do no justice, Car must be seen in person to appriciate... I seen it for the first time yesterday evening since a few months ago..... My knees almost buckled from out under me....
But once its wet sanded and buffed it'll look like a sheet of glass... The shop we have doing the work are known very well for doing nothing but street rods and custom cars..... Not a average joe paint shop. He only does custom street rods.
I wish they had a website, i am gonna talk them into a website next time i am down.

I dont mean to be the one to call bullshit but that is not a $16000 paint job!! If you paid that much then you got royally screwed. I see orange peel...the side shot down the fender shows shitty body work. Very Very nice car but im calling bullshit on a few things!

nice car and all but this is HONDA-TECH! $16,000 is a little over the top for paint, considering you guys had to remove the primer! for that much you should not have had to do anything!

did you read the post? It hasn't been wet sanded or buffed yet.

The color is called "Tangerine Pearl" from the new limited PT cruiser...
The car is not finished, they still have to go over a few things and fix a few things and once again they have to wet-sand and buff it..
We are exspecting to run high 9's on the blower motor w/spray. The 432 on spray we are hoping to break into the 8's on slicks..
Just need to get the cage put in it to make it all Legal with nhra rules...
Welp i gotta go, Thanks for all the posative feedback... We appriciate it alot

Yea I read the post....but cmon man $16000. That car isnt worth that much and having to do the prep work it just doesnt match up. Another thing his "temporary motor" with forged internal and a lunati cam but notice the $50 rusted master cylinder or rusted water pump. Buddy if I or you planned on spending $16000 on a paint job that we have been restoring a car for 13 years would you put those components in your car. Highly doubtful. Like I said I envy camaros especially a '67 but no need to lie about ****!!
