Default been covered before but still need some advice

Have a nasty engine noise running threw my speakers....cant seem to shake it...today I noticed its twice as worse when I have to have my headlights on....
this is driving me nuts

anyone? I'm thinking of trying a ground loop isolator...but I've never needed one in any other car...so I really dont see why all of a sudden I would need to use one

Engine noise mostly occurs when you have multiple components with multiple grounds. Generally, if you ground everything to one place, you shouldn't have a problem. Best place is back to the battery.

well, today i was putting my VR components in on those, and i had to remove pretty much my entire set up just because preludes are a pain in the *** to do ANYTHING IN, i also recently put a tv and PS2 in and got hellanoise, after messing with the rca's and stuff today i relieved the problem, my suggestion, mess with your rca's, make sure they're away from power sources i.e. power wire, and definitely double check grounds, i also have a noise filter and it helped a great deal
