OEM gs-r front strut bar on LS?
anyone know how to install the bolts that are on the gsr for the OEM strut bar onto a lower model teg?... was thinking of getting a OEM strut bar and putting an aftermarket one on the two strut bolts
thats a sweet setup!... did you just remove the rubber caps and push up the bolts or did you weld them in place?... i wanted the carbing 3pt strut bar but i heard it breaks some solo2 rules

From what I understand, 3 point bars are illegal.

Thanks! Yeah, I just removed the rubber caps and pushed the bolts thru... I threw some washers on them, though. Yeah, apparently it is not allowed in solo2 competition.

have you considered the neuspeed 4 pt bar? much cheaper than the carbing, i am very happy with mine. If you are considering alternatives, that is a good one. As for the gsr strut bar, yea... i think most people just get some nuts & bolts from their hardware store since the LS's don't have the studs in place there.
nice carbing piece..how much does one run? and where's a cheap place to get it..i don't think i'd have any clearance prob's with a skunk2 mani. in a gsr..since it is just a ITR copy
Thanks for the compliments... I'm not sure what size the bolts were. I just tried a few sizes and went with whatever fit the best. Here are some pictures of the rear bar.
