does repainting car drop the value of it?
Does repainting a car another color drop the value of it dramatically?
I have a 94 Integra w/ jdm front end that is painted stock Isle Green Mettallic
I plan to sell my car off in a year or two, but would still like to have fun with it.
I wanted to re-paint the car in high quality house of kolor candy apple red.. this isn't just a normal paint job...including engine bay, door jambs, trunk jambs etc. etc. This is not going to be a half assed paint job.. pretty much full paintjob.
repainting it this color, do you think people would argue to pay less for the car because it is not the stock color of the car, or would you pay for more in the future?
Would you pay more or less for a asking price based on a non stock color?

Just make sure you do everything you said you would do above and it should bump up the price a lil, but not by much.

depends on the color if i liked it or not. For example . if i was buying a lime green EF i would argue to pay less since im not a lime green fanatic. but if it was yellow i wouldnt really argue and would appreciate the car more since yellow cars fo faster.
its pretty much on the buyer.

Kandy Paint Jobs do increase the value of the car if its done correctly by a pro sprayer .. I paint Kandy all the time for people .. They rite back up and sell the car for say 600-1200 more.
