Well from my understanding of Halo's is that they arent suppose to put out much light?? I mean you ever look at them on a BMW?? Not like they light up the road or something just suppose to glow.

my black projectors already came with 9005s - many of the kits do.
I put in 9006 HIDs - helped a lot. Now they're a little better than OEM.
I don't drive the crx at night much, though, so I like the look of the projectors on my black car. Screw functionality!

I got a set of Halo projectors off ebay and they actually have more light output than the stock headlights ever did (then again my stocks were in terrible shape). I like them personally even if they are rice
Don't get them!!Sure they look nice but at what cost when you can't see **** at night.I had a pair along with 01 Cl type S HIDS.Beams all over the place and can't see worth a dam at night.Keep the stock one and get the plug and play hid kit(6oook)
even if you have your stock lights the beam will still be all over. Those stock headlights werent meant for H.I.Ds I have projectors on my now and the beam is nearly perfect. Not a complete straight line but close enough. The light output is pretty good too but I still havent tried using H.I.Ds in the projectors yet. I'm sure it will come out better.
not sure of the brand becuase I got it at a performance shop but it uses 9005 bulbs. I'm planning on getting H.I.Ds soon to see if it will get alittle better.
These look much better than the G2 "Jetta style" lights IMO...but is the housing glass or plastic? They don't mention that...I imagine if they're plastic, they'd look pretty shitty over time.Would look mean with a CF hood!
They're plastic housing but for the cost it's not bad. I actually have some pics I took of them on my car and they look decent for now. My one complaint is that they're slightly smaller on top thant he stock lights so you have a littl gap but I'm getting CF hood and I'll take some black rubber stripping and fill in the gap and it will look fine. I also got stuck witht he cheap corner lights cause when I bought them it said they were the glass ones that you can't see through and when I got them it was nowhere near.
bmorrisj - the rings are wired up to your corner lights (I tapped into the power red line and then just grouneded the negative in teh chassis) so when your parking lights come on so do the rings.

Yeah there plastic I emailed someone selling them before and he said they were plastic which struck me as kind of weird considering I bought projectors a few years ago and they have glass lenses.

There are varying degrees of projectors. I know a guy who has glass lense projectors. Just depends what you pay for (as I bet the glass lense ones are more expensive than plastic)
EDIT -
Since I can't post more than 5 times in a 24 hour period
I'll edit this post and add in my pics of the halo projectors
Daytime shot after install - looks a little rought

And a couple of night shots here

There everyone goes

Im not positive about the angel eye projectors but I know that my projectors (which are brand new in the box with glass lenses are for sale
) take the regular stock bulbs.

seems like there are both glass and plastic. I would be interested in a angel eye setup with a glass top. With the above look (non jetta style). It has to have 9005 or 9006. Does it even exist?
