I did a search and still nothin Whats the stock WHP on a LS teg??? Whats the WHP after a Vtec head????

 

From the dynos I've seen:

5spd= ~121 whp
Autp=~ 100 whp

They have dynos on a lot of honda motors from D16 to B20/vtec turbos.

is it the auto trans thats responsible for that difference or something else? i will be doing a auto-manual conversion and im not sure if the auto motor might be weaker

 

I read somewhere, can't remember where though, that the exhaust camsd were different in auto ls's. I think it is a BS but dunno. And yes the auto tranny is responsible for most of the power loss. Remember you have to spin a torque converter that is filled with fluid. It can get heavy!
