read for hours now i only have one question on b20/vtec
I have a 91 crx si with a b16a and i love it but im really looking for more tourqe and more hp and i have allways wanted a n/a car i think f/i is cheating. anyways i started reading on b20/vtec and im ready to begin the build but last night while digging through the archives of h-t i read that some people sugest bolting the block and head together with rods and pistons breaking it in and making sure its runing right before a full build. but if i do the build i would like to do it all at once a fully built b20/vtec i mean everything cause if i build a motor i want all the best parts built right so that it will be strong and reliable and i would like to have a minimal down time so my idea was to build the entire motor then take out the b16a and drop in the b20/vtec get it running good break it in then after break in take it to be dyno tuned witch was what i planned to do untill i seen that some people sugest runing the motor a while before going for big power
thanks in advance for any help
BUMP, I also want to know because i'm also buying all the parts and want it to be all in at one time.
I have not heard of building a motor and then tearing it apart again to do a "full build". Just build it, install it, break it in, and tune it.

That's funny...
Anyhow, what are you asking from us? Do you need us to suggest some good parts to use?

put your parts in.. whatever they are, and run the car in proper break in fashion- or break it in on the dyno and then tune. No need to put it together stock, then tear it apart, then put it back together.... that's just lame
