Default prelude seats vs. del sol seats.

hey guys, trying to decide whether i should intsall in to my civic hatch the del sol or the prelude seats, word is that the del sol seats sit about an inch or two lower than the lude and stock civic ones. please vote only if youve sat/driven in BOTH types. comments are also greatly appreciated as to which one is the easiest to install, best looks, etc.

many thanks again! -jeremy
cheers

how well do the del sol seats hold you in? like the side bolsters and stuff. im pretty familiar with the lude seats cuz my bro has a lude, and yes, 92-96.

i know the bolsters on the del sol's are suppost to be pretty decent. If their bolsters hold you in better than the prelude seats then i'd go with those

yea i found a crucial deal on a set of 92 lude seats, 125 plus shipping from texas. best deal ive found so far. im actually leaning towards the lude seats, they seem bigger. or something. seems like they would make my car less whimpy and the nice deal

I have 92-96 prelude seats in my 94 del sol, I think they are more comfortable. But I had to elongate the holes in the seat rails to make them fit the del sol, and for the inside rear(closest to the center console) I had to make a 2" extension to reach the mounting hole.

Instalation wise the del sol seats are much easier.. comfot/support wise the 92 - 96 lude seats own the del sol seats.

I think you need to swap the bottom pan from the civic seats onto the lude seats and then it will be an easy install. No one has ever done a "how to" that i know of. My hatch came with Lude seats, so I'm not too sure how to do it.

del so all the way..yeah its kinda low at 1st but after a week u wont even notice it..its really firm and comfortable..and holds u in nicely during turns..plus i think del so seats goes w/ civic more than lude..it looks right at home..92-96 ones looks kinda weird..

W3rd.... lol dunno what it is about them but i just love how i fit into my Sol seats, and although the lude seats are comfortable, i don't like them as much.... to each their own though.

del Sol seats have more than enough bolstering; they were designed by Recaro.

IMHO the del Sol seats have a more comfortable feel and shape - plus they have side and shoulder support, while the '92-96 Prelude seats have huge side bolsters but don't have any shoulder support whatsoever.

What year Prelude seats are picuted above? Can you just swap rails with a 96-00 and they'll fit? They look nice!

Those are from the 92-96 ludes. No they won't bolt right in...tried it and it won't work.

EDIT: Won't bolt right in..with a little welding...I don't see why it wouldnt fit.
