Default Help me on an ls swap plzzz

I have decided to get the ls swap in my 1990 crx si, i went to a local shop and got it estamated 4 a full ls swap it would coast me about 3 grand.

My question is- do u think its worth it, or should i try to do the swap myself?
I have a friend that can help me, but if im gonna need to do any welding im out of luck.

and if u think i can swap it myself, where is a good place to buy an ls + needed acsesories?

I know this is a hard que to answer, and any help is appreciated.

3 grand for an LS swap? That sounds like a lot to me.

I would do it myself. 3 grand sounds high. you shouldn't have to do any welding. Hasport makes everything to do the swap right, mounts, shift linkage, etc. you shouldn't have any wiring problems if you get and OBD-0 LS motor. as for where to find it, try looking around here, http://www.thepartstrader.com and your local junk yards and stuff.
