im stripping my jdm b16a block but the thing is i dont no how to tell wether its is a2 or a1 what things should i look for in the block that tells me what genration it is.

please help

were would it be stamped at on the its jdm block there is no numbers on jdm blocks theres just b16a on it

there is no b16a1 btw. jdm blocks dont have #'s after the A. does anyone here know how to tell the difference btween a sir-1 block and sir-2? are there even any difference? i know the sir-2 has higher compression... so i bet have different pistons r somthing.

 

see i most know casue i cant have an older motor in my car when i go try to get the bar sticker or does it even matter casue its jdm

 

sir-II is obd1 while the sir-1 is obd0

its just a block they wont be able to tell the year from and there r no vin plates just watch out on the head cause then they know what year
