h22 type s Question
supposedly my motor is a type s h22 but i'm rather skeptical is there and way i can tell if it is a type s by looking at the top of the pistons or the heads (the motor is apart now
well its not that its a type s it supposedly has all the type s parts in it and the valve cover isn't red like a type s or i wouldn't be asking this Q

Am I mistaken or not, but Type S.. should be F20B... Or does the Type S come in H22a form?
Hold on JDM or USDM? USDM does come in Type S as well. But in H22a spec.. so.. 87mm bore.. JDM Type S (F20B) is 85mm bore.

JDM type S is H22a & atts tranny. I think only euro R & accord SIR-T is F20B

Look at the intake manifold. The type-s and the regular H22 intake manifold look totally different. You should be able to tell them apart from that. Unless they switched manifolds on, but hopefully they didn't. It's a easy way to tell them apart before you going measuring cams and etc.......
