What color is the valve cover? What's the intake manifold look like? Two easy ways to start.

Take the head off. Measure the lift on the cams. Look at the pistons & compare to h22a4.

Am I mistaken or not, but Type S.. should be F20B... Or does the Type S come in H22a form?

Hold on JDM or USDM? USDM does come in Type S as well. But in H22a spec.. so.. 87mm bore.. JDM Type S (F20B) is 85mm bore.

JDM type S is H22a & atts tranny. I think only euro R & accord SIR-T is F20B

Look at the intake manifold. The type-s and the regular H22 intake manifold look totally different. You should be able to tell them apart from that. Unless they switched manifolds on, but hopefully they didn't. It's a easy way to tell them apart before you going measuring cams and etc.......
