70mm Tapered to stock 62mm Increases velocity of air Similar to overboring

The spoon sport TB is taper on the outer edge to 70mm. Not the complete TB. It's mostly useful for TB feel and response. I have one and I love it myself. It pulls and sounds more profound to say the least. So when you press it you feel it. I talked with my shop guy and he said the inside bore is only if your looking for max hp. But he said there wouldn't be much of difference from full bore to the taper bore. I believe couple hp difference he estimated. Someone did a dyno test I believe on this maybe a yr a go.

Spoon TB has 16% more volume over stock ITR TB.Taper bore is to have more mid-range power and ON/OFF throttle response. I have dynoed on my friends ITR there were 5hp at the mid-range.

I think the Spoon is a little over $400. Maybe $450 if I remember correctly.

When installing any throttle body (spoon/holley) is there any other issues to deal with? Reliability, possible engine problems.

The Spoon T-Body should have no reliabilityproblems due to the fact that it is a Tappered bore Stock T-Body.. As for the Holley...couldn't tell ya Sorry

Holley is straight through 68mm Not Tapered, Which means you have to have your Intake manifold port matched to the TB
Spoon is Direct Bolt on But like most pieces (even with the Holley) will attain more power if tuned with say a SAFC or VAFC Spoon is about $475
