i have a 2000gsr engine..in my 92 si and i planned on buying a ctr intake cam.. would it be worth it if i didnt buy valvesprings..if so would type r valve springs+ retainers be suitable.. or it would have to be performance ones.. would it make a huge difference if i bought the valve springs becaue i could rev it up past 8.. woud the stock pistons be able to be reved up to higher rpms.. say 8600 thanx

 

with no valvetrain mods dont go past redline. with type r valvetrain 8400 rpms.. I dont think the ctr cam makes power above 8400 so i dont see a reason to rev that high
