Camber Kit
Hey everyone, i'm going to be buyin the zeal b6s on wed or thurs this week and was wondering if i need to be buying a camber kit as well. I have gotten mixed answers on this one and was wondering if anyone really knows the real deal with this. I would like to drop the car about 2 inches with these coilovers. If a camber kit is needed, what would be a good one for my setup? Also, someone told me that i can't have the car aligned without a camber kit? I'm confused. Since i am spending so much money on the coilovers, i would like to do this right. Anyways, help me out. I'm lookin for some educated answers please. Thanks!

You won't know for certain if you need one 'til you start wearing the tires.
It would be safer to buy a front and rear kit. You can do this separately.

sells kits. Their rear shim kit (46-2160) may be the cheapest solution on the market to rear camber adjustment, when you consider that their parts are grade 8 and the thickness is a known quantity.

Hey Staci......it depends on how far you lower your car with the coilovers. Anything over a 1.75 drop I would recommend doing at least a front camber kit. Now as far as you being able to align it, you can align the car without a camber kit but you cannot adjust the "camber" which is when the wheels point inward or outward on your car. Ingalls makes a kit for your car and you can pick one up for around $100-$150 Let me know if you need anymore help
Hi, thanks for the info. I just called endless and ordered the zeal b6s. They will be here in about 3 weeks.
I probably want to drop the car 1.75-2 inches, so i probably will need a camber kit. I'm not sure if i should wait and see how the coilovers are and how they affect the car, or go ahead and order a camber kit now? I'm a little confused in this area...mainly in terms of what is being done by the camber kit and what happens if one is not purchased. Thank for the info so far...

you'll prolly need them regardless. You'll definitely know when you put the springs on. its not like you need them ASAP tho, your tires won't blow up
I got some Ingalls off an ebay store seller $150 for fronts/rears. thats a pretty good price.

I put GC's and Koni's on my Integ and my wheels are slightly pointed out with about a 1.75 inch drop. I'd recommend a camber kit to fix it before doing the alignment. Not sure but you will probably have to get it aligned again if you do it and THEN put a camber kit on.
Since we are on the subject maybe some people can recommend other good brands that make camber kits, I need it.

My car is lowered 3", no camber kit, and I get an alignment about every 6 months or so (or at least have the alignment checked). Tire wear is minimal so far, and I have 11K+ miles on these tires so far (Yok ES100's).
At a 2" drop a camber kit should not be necessary at all, as long as you get the alignment (toe-in) set to exact factory specs and keep it in check, and rotate your tires everey 3K-5K miles.

(same drop) also, i only needed the front kit, the rears were still in factory spec.

I don't know if this means anything, but...

There is something in the description about a pillow ball upper mount and camber adjustability. I'm confused now...

-Staci</TD></TR></TABLE> You would probably get better responses regarding your zeals from the ITR forum, as more people run those over there than in the integra forum. I'm sure they could answer all your questions.

Yeah well things will cause the alignment to gradually get out of spec over time, especially if the car is daily driven. Bumps in the road, whatever else, etc. For someone like me who does not have a camber kit and does not wish to mess with one, it's important to keep an eye on the toe-in to make sure it stays where it's supposed to be. But yeah, my friend at a Chevy dealer does it for me, I usually give him $20 or $30 each time, and I get to be right there and see all that goes on (we go in the dealer service department where he works usually on Sunday afternoons when no real work is being done).
As for pillowball mounts, that only offers camber adjustability on cars that use Macpherson strut-type suspensions (BMW, Porsche, Nissans, Toyotas, etc.).
