Default HELP! Worth The Drive?

I am able to get a free ecu out of a teg, just wanna know if its worth me driving the hour to get it.
1988 ACURA INTEGRA 5 SPD TWINCAM ZC PG7

PG7, will it be a direct swap into my 89 si? I have a jdm doch zc engine. Will I see any power increases? What will my redline be.

Its free so if its going to help a bit Ill make the drive. Need advise and hopefully some answers.

I wouldnt use that ECU unless you plan on boosting sometime soon, its going to cause the engine to run rich. You'll probably notice a power loss.
My friend is using this ECU on his d16z6 swap and it runs really rich.

But its free, might as well pick it up. There are people who will pay $$ for it.

EDIT: My bad, I thought you had an Si d16a6...It will work good with a ZC. Sorry bout that.

There will be a noticable difference switching to the PG7. ZC's came from the factory with PM7 ecu's which are very similar to the PG7. PG7's redline at 7200, better than the PM6's 6800.
I guess the downside is that the pg7 cannot be chipped...or we havent been able to find anyone who does it.

It's worth it. IF you dont like it, Sell the PG7 and use that money to chip your PG6 with a PM7 (JDM DOHC ZC) Software.

Driving 1 hour is nothing.. I drive 1 hour to work everytime..

becarefull though there is a a PG7 that is a basterd, it has like a big X indent or rise on both sides of the ECU it is also a PG7, but it dosent work with a CRX, i have gotten tons from the junkyard and i figured this out the only PG7 that works is flat on both sides and does not have a screw in the middle of the ecu, just at the corners...

i had a pg7 in my crx with a d16z6...worked a lot better than the stock 89 Si ecu...it ran rich yes, but the power gain was very noticable. plus u figure the fuel is mapped for a dohc motor which the 88 ls integra is, so all the better......

That wont work. The person that put up that auction is obviously lying or they stole someone elses pic.. not knowing there was a difference between the 2. He claims its from a 1988 which would work but like I said, the one in that pic wont. 88-89s work, 86-87s dont
