Default ticking (my car started ticking after oil change) updated see below

Okay guys just installed built engine i was told by a buddy to run 10w40 for the breakin w/ lucas oil treatment well I cranked up the car it was idling really funny but not ticking I was scared to drive so I let it idle quite a bit before driving it probaly1.5 to 2 hrs anyhow I finally drive the car for 10 miles and the oil light comes on well its a new oil pump first thing comes to mind is the oil is too thick so I change the oil to factory specs 5w30 shortly after the oil change (within the first 3hrs) I cranked the car up it has a nasty tick and oil light is still coming on its finely determined to be a faulty sender unit. Next thing I thought my valves are out of spec so I adjust those today well its still ticking I let a mechanic listen to it and he thinks its the lifters whatever those are I didn't think hondas had lifters anyhow I think I'm going to add lucas back in to see if that stops it what do you guys think I hope it not a bearing. The tick is very loud does not go away when the car warms up when you step on the gas you can here it. Last thing the rpm hand will go to zero what's going on with that .................. thnaks in advance
Chris

After letting the car idle, did you drain that oil before driving, or did you just take off?

I let it idle for a few days actually combined time was 2hrs and I drove it. Not hard at all and only for 10 miles then I changed it

Double check all your grounds and ALL connections to your rpm problems. Then take a vacuum check to see if it is steady and in spec.
As to the ticking, of course there are no lifters. Pull the valve cover to make sure oil in coming up to the top end. Check your valve lash. Hard to tell where a tick is coming from without being there.

Well its sad day here the ticking is from the wrist pin clips damn Arias pistons I couldn't get the clips to go in so I took the pistons back to the machine shop the guy that works there put them in as a favor I didn't pay for that so I can't blame them, all that hard work for nothing.

Thanks everyone for all of your help
