dc jdm header as good as real jdm?
is the dc sports jdm header (4-1, 2.5" collector) just as good as as the jdm itr header? i need a new header, and can get a better deal on the dc, but didnt know if it was as good.

the oem jdm itr you can add a skidplate to which is VERY NICE, but at the same time it is heavier and sits lower than the dc jdm...the welds are also on the inside so supposedly that pulls a little power...but i think they are pretty equal. if both were the same price i personally would go w a jdm itr oem b/c you can get an oem heat shield and look stock... not to mention the skid plate.

the jdm itr header has welds that make the inlet ports a bit smaller. Importreview says once they ported it out and put welds on the outside, the inner diameter increased about 15%. Once that's done apparently it performs pretty much the same as the dc jdm header. biggest downside is ground clearance for the dc jdm imo, but the price is very appealing.

yep. its a thick sheet of metal that goes underneath the header parallel to the ground to protect it from getting owned.
