My wonderful H&R drop! *PICS*
Well, I installed ONE of my springs today...started late and got dark out. Anyway, I installed the drivers side rear after running into problems. I finally got it in and this is the result. I must say I'm very disappointed so far. I don't know why the car is hardly dropped.
The "drop:"

God-Awful wheel gap:

Passenger Side Rear (without H&R spring): I guess the car was abnormally high to begin with...that could be the problem.

Undropped passenger side wheel gap:

Could it be my shocks?

get all 4 on and i'm sure that it will drop more...think about it you have 3 other points resisting your car from lowering. Shocks shouldn't matter since sport shocks would be more stiff. just what i think may not be right
That makes sense. I'm thinking about getting some generic coilovers for now instead. I haven't upgraded my shocks because I'm saving for a full coilover setup.
yeah drive around for a while and it will settle...and if you are fortunate they will settle evenly unlike my damn eibach sportlines.
yeah which ones did you get...from my look i would 1.2" Race?? if so judging by your hand comparisons looks like it did the job.

Honestly I bought them from someone on H-T so I'm not sure which model they are. I'm pretty sure they're the race springs. It does look like they did the job, but I don't understand why my car sits so high.

And the TOOL award goes to....me, as usual
I forgot to lower the e-brake. As soon as I did the car dropped instantly. A lot better than it was. I'm happy now, hopefully it settles more

Better than before:
Almost a

I know H&R makes 3 diff types of springs (I know someone said the red are race before) But they have race, sport, and another one that only drops the car .75 in. You may have those. I just had sports put on with gr2's and the drop was much more than that. probably 1.5-2.0...without settling yet. I will post pix when i can. You may want to confirm which H&Rs they are for sure.
Drive it a little, I installed some Eibach springs on a 240SX a few weeks ago and it didn't look so great at first (especially with only the rears on), after the fronts and a drive it was like the perfect height.
i put the 2.25 front and 2.5 rear dropzone springs on my car and have a 1 finger gap up front and a 2 finger gap in the rear. my other hatch has the tenzo 2.25 springs front and rear and tucks the tires. i am happy with the ride comfort of the dropzones but i thing the reason for the minor gap in the rear on my car is due to the kyb gr-2 struts.

The 3 are the OE sports (.80/.75") the sports (1.9"/1.8") and the race (2.25"/2")
Well obviously you got it to drop down some more with dropping the e-brake and all but you will notice even a more imporovement once they are all on and you give them a little time to settle.

same here on the sportlines.... I used to think it was just my car that had something out of wack. Now it all makes sense. the left side rear is noticably higher than the right. the springs are in place on the shock and in the top as well. maybe i got to look for some different springs... Ive had them for about two years now..
