148k, just switched to moble1 syn oil.
ok well i got the car 2k miles ago. first day i had her i changed the oil with castrol GTX high millage, and also added some lucas oil treatment.
well my car felt really boggy unless it was at full operating temps. after reading about how crapy that lucas stuff was i decided to change my oil early (cant hurt huh).
ive read lots of places that switching to synethic oil in high millage engines is a bad idea, but on the moble1 site it says the oppsite, says its bin tested and proven it does not make high mile motor leak.
last time i changed the oil it was still dark after i put new oil in. so i got some Pyroil (valvoline) engine flush and used that before i drained the old oil. after i drained her, i used 2 qts of some crap oil and let it drain right out (really helped).
i used moble 1 10w-30 synthetic. and so far no leaks, revs alot smother. so far im 100% happy with it ( and glad that lucas crap is out).
o ya, my dip stick now comes up with clean oil on her
ill post back in a few months let you guys know if i start to see any leaks.

Cool -- hope you enjoy the car
It's good to know that higher mileage gsr's are selling since I'm kinda wanting to get out of mine soon. How much did you get it for??
And yes, it is a good thing that you got rid of the oil that you put the additives in -- it CLEARLY states in the manual that oil additives are not needed, and can do more harm than good.

I rather change the oil twice as much with Castrol GTX than use the Mobil stuff again.
B2 - who went from Castrol -> Mobil -> Castrol
