stupid radio, need some help
Had to disconnect he battery while changing the starter and of course the radio goes into safe mode. Go to look for the code and can't find it. Can someone tell me how to get the radio out and what numbers I need to give to the dealer to get the radio code? TIA
Not in any of those places. I had it written in one of the books that was with the registration and insurance, but my wife decided to lose that packet a few eeeks ago.
I figured out how to pull the radio and the sticker from it came off so hopefully I can take that to the dealer and they can get the code for me... again. Just hope they aren't such **** bishes like last time. ike someone is really going to steal a stupid stock radio.

give the dealer the vin number and proof of ownership and they can pull the code up. they can do the same thing with a key code. great to know if you have ever locked your keys in the car and don't want to pay 90 bucks for a locksmith. 5 bucks for a new code-cut key from acura. but, they'll do the radio code for free. although, you have to have power to the radio for the code to work. just drive to the dealership or take the whole radio there.
Ugh, was off work early to pick my dad up at the airport this afternoon so went by the dealership. Note that I didn't have the registration, not that it mattered anyways since the car is still in my mother in laws name (long story, don't ask) The service guy goes into this long speach about the stock radios being worth $800 so they can't give me the code. Luckily the wife has had service done there and was on record, only problem is it was done way back under her maiden name. Luckily we own a house and still have the same address and their address on file matched my license so they gave me the code. Ugh! Finally I don't have to commute 45 minutes in silence.
