Default h22a crank...neway to get a 84mm stroke ? tell me what u think about ...

also need to know if there is a place that can build
custom crank? rods ?

tell me what u think ..

H22a with a 84mm stroke crank, 149mm rods ..11.5 cr domed pistons
overbored at max possible..
( complete engine balancing, head work (springs cams retainers balbabla... ))
~10K RPM operations

better r/s ratio than B18c5 ( 1.77 vs 1.58 )
and 84-85mm bore instead of 78-79mm

maybe i'm totally wrong on that one..but that looks like
toda-mugen setup nah ?
or i think that's what they do to their h22a..

if that would work and i'm not fucked up on something or gorget something..
that could be a really powerfull engine ??

http://english.honda.ca/models/prelude_features.asp

h22a is 87.7 bore

if my calculs are good..

84mm stroke and 87.7 of bore would take us to 2.0l almost flush

so that's the same displacement than the b18c with better R/S ratio...
mmmm

is that good ?? eh
i hope it is..or there is something that i really didn't understand good
ehehe

Custom rods are no biggie. Have fun trying to find someplace to build you a custom crank, it will cost you an arm and a leg.

I think crower makes custom cranks...but they cost some big money. Check their webside under honda/acura...I think it is in there.

What engine is this for? F series?

If you're thinking of putting this in a B-series, you might as well forget about it, they don't fit.

Why would you want to change the R\S Ratio on the Stroke (Crank) Side?

Custom, Shorter Rods will bring your effective stroke length down, as will a Piston with the Ring Package moved down a small ammount.

You're going to have to deck the **** outta the block if you use Stock Length Rods with a Reduced Stroke Crank.

Your Pistons are going to be like 6mm "in the hole" and thats going to reduce your compression.

I would recommend a Combination of dropping the Piston Wrist Pin and shortening the Rods. This will mae your effective stroke the same, but keep the same height as before, which is essential for any type of compression.

mmm
if u shorten the rods..wouldn't actually bring the R/S ratio even worse ?

'i mean ... 143mm/90.7 seems better ratio to me than 138/90.7 nah ?

or am i missing everything here and understanding it wrong way ??
heeh

but the theory would be to have a lkess stroke cranck and longer rods..
so it ocme back to the same CR as the piston moves exactly to the same height as it did...but comes down less far cause of the crank stroke and moves slower cause of that..and better angle nah ?

Superdave is wrong. Changing the rod length will not change stroke. Why do you think there are such things as stroker kits? They use a crank with a longer stroke, and use shorter rods.
