2000 Civic Si wont start
Sorry, i searched and nothing with my problem came up. 2000 Civic Si B16A2....Drove somewhere got out and when i came back the car wouldnt start. I have 40Psi of fuel going into rail and also verified fuel in rail. I checked for spark and found that it s getting spark here and there. I replaced with good coil and replaced with different ignitor......same thing.....tried new plugs.......No CEL or check engine light is on........im stumped. New cap and rotor as well. if anyone can help id appreciate it.

are your injectors ok? try shooting some lubricated starting fluid on your intake filter, that way you know if youve got spark you have air and fuel for a short minute, if it starts and dies quickly your lacking fuel...
I had a similar problem with my wife's accord....it was the main relay under the dash what a basterd to change, now I don't know if that is what's wrong with your's but it would be something to check....your's might be under the hood?
the car gets fuel...............fuel pump comes on, and the pressure guage reads 40 Psi. Plus i had the fuel rail damper off and fuel ran out. I said it gets intermittent spark.....and sometimes no spark at all........i swapped coil, and ignitor and still same problem. i doubt its main relay being thats for the fuel pump right? this is a spark issue. No Cels at all. Yes, this is the stock ECU that came with the Si.

motor cranks over fine..............everything works...........it just doesnt get a good spark to the plug. I already swapped for a known good Module/Ignitor and a another known good coil. The plug doesnt show a spark when out of cylinder, but one spark showed when i put a screw driver in boot and put near a good ground and that was it. Once again no engine codes what so ever.
bump.... i have a similar problem with my car havent driven it in 3months. at first i thought it was my wiring harness but im starting to lean towards the distributor now.
How do you check for a bad ground?

First thing I would check.
After that, how good was it running when you last shut it off, (timing adjustment)?

yes, i smell fuel when plug is out, and yes, the fuel is full in tank..........ran fine when shut off. If it did jump timing it should still put spark out. I used a Fluke meter to measure the resistance of the coil and the Ignitor.......?
you're injectors are probably not operating, check for proper cpu ground and that all your fuses are good. Do you have the OEM security system working properly?
Maybe someone tried to steal it and failed look for some cut wiring under the dash.
The best way is to get the diagnostic trouble codes out of it. The hit or miss approach is just wasting money and time.
