I have a 85 Crx and the battery just died on me and its only a couple of months old and alternator is pretty new. I had my friend hook it up and i was wondering is my alternator not hooked up right can somebody tell me how to check to see if it is hooked up properly ?

 

measure the volts on the battery when the car is running. should be around 12 votls, should be alot higher than that. u can also measure the volts on hte alt itself but the battery thing will do. im not exactly sure how much volts the alt should be putting out
