New to accords, 3rd or 4th gen better for autoX?
I have been around at this site for a while. I have a CRX and i am selling it, so i am looking at all my options. I love the old school hatch look of the 3rd gen accord, but they are so scarce. My dad used to have a 91 EX accord, and i remember it was a good car for us. I was wondering what one would be a better option for autocrossing, i am just gonna slap on some Hoosiers and a rear sway bar and go out there. What do you guys think? thanks.
Thie reason this is in accord and not roadracing forum is because i thought you guys would have more of a clue than those guys on the subject

i currently use a 4th gen accord for STS. accord's are not competitive for STS.
125HP + 3000lbs = last in class
even the 3rd gen i dont think would do all that great. if u want a good car i'd say 89 civic hatch si is very competitive in STS. and i do believe updating and backdating is not allowed in STS next season correct????

I just want it for stock class, nothing but a bit of suspension mods. I autocrossed my dads 1996 accord EXR and it wasnt bad, a little understeer but it was fun.
If you really want to auto x an accord I would use a 4th gen over a 3rd gen. You will be able to find more after market parts for it because they are more popular. You will also find a lot more support in tunning your car. (and because i own a 4th gen)
