WS dampers brand new shouldn't cost much more than $800-$850 or so.
But you have to weigh the differences, WS dampers do not offer any damping adjustment. Konis offer limited height adjustment and infinite rebound damping adjustment.
I don't know how stiff the WS springs are.

why are you settling for just these two options?
I have Koni Yellows, but wish I had a full coilover to adjust the height (the height adjustment perches are uneven, not even worth trying). I don't feel like GC's because I just don't think it will "feel" right.
However, I don't think I could live without the rebound adjustment.. its just so easy, and you feel so much more in-tune with your car.
If you have the money, go for a full coilover WITH rebound/dampening adjustment.

i hate my koni's and ground control coilovers. in the winter they squeak and make weird noises. this is because the more you drive on them the more hte seat mounting points wear down. when they get real bad you have to replace the coilover/koni collar and the coilover sleeve. mysuggestion is if you only have about 800 to spend:
go with a set of eibach pro kit springs on either KYB agx's or Tockico 5 way adjustable struts.
the thinking behind this is simple. even if yuo just buy the koni's and springs the spring perches are gonna be just aas noisy as the coilover perches. why? because they aren't welded to the shock body. now tih the KYB and Tockico's, the spring perches are welded to the shock body. creating a solid perch that won't squeak around on you and get you all mad becasue you just dropped 800+ dollars on what was supposed to be a great suspension. i am lookin into upside down struts now. bigger inner stanchion tubes = less body roll and increased shock rigidity. sor tof looking for something like this http://www.dmshocks.com/docs/products.html i am looking at either the 40 or 50mm kits. these guys also let you choose what spring rates you get and the springs a dual progressive front and rear to assure the best ride out there. the shocks are user serviceable and have millions of ways to adjust them.
