NGK BCPR7ES-11 ok for boosted app???
i dont know much about sparkplugs, but for my 300ZX (stock 7.8:1 CR, 87 octane, ~6psi non intercooled) Nissan reccomends BCPR5E-11, BCPR6E-11, and BCPR7E-11. They reccomend BCPR5ES-11, BCPR6ES-11, and BCPR7ES for n/a 300ZX, but not for the turbos. I don't know what the difference is between having the S at the end or not, and I know that the characteristics of a modded turbo honda four banger are different than those of a stock mid 80s turbo nissan V6, but noone had said anything, so I figured I'd toss in my $0.02.
I've been using the same set of NGK Platinums for just over 4 years and 77,000 boosted miles now. And I still use them in my Y8 motor, even though they sit a little more recessed than the Z6 or Y8 plugs do. I bought them back when Carparts.com was practically giving stuff away,
I paid about $5.00 ea.
Stock # 4485
Plug # BCPR7EVX-11
1 Heat Range Colder
