Went to the track - Need advice!
Well sad to say my results were not much better then before...and actually worse for the most part.
The problem I am having now..which was never happening before, is that when I shift to 2nd the tires break loose and spin till around 6500 RPMs...then they catch and the car boggs down to 4000 RPMs! This is killing my times.
What the hell can I do!?
The best time last night was 14.79 vs the previous 14.84..which sucks! With the GSR tranny and lightweight flywheel I was hoping for much better.

What I dont understand is why are the RPMs dropping to 4000 after the wheels stop "spinning" in 2nd gear?
Ive alwasy had some wheel spin in 2nd gear...but after they stopped "spinning" the RPMs woul continue to climb to redline...and now after they spin...they drop back down.
Is it possible that the much lighter flywheel is causing this?

Hmmm,
I did think that was odd (rpms falling so far).
The lighter flywheel will def make rpms fall faster, I noticed this some with my Spoon flywheel. Wouldn't think it would let rpms fall that far though....
Anyway, get some new sneakers and try easing up on the shift and you'll see more of an improvement...

Even a decent set of street tires should help a lot...
