well wont the head be stamped with the code...
ZC = pm7?
d16a1 = pg7

that should be right on the side of the head to the left of the exhaust ports.

you are putting this into 88-91 civic or crx?? umm i thought you couldn't put in the d16a1 without custom fabrication of mounts...or else wouldn't everyone be doing it?

that was my understanding when i first bought my civc and was consiering the zc swap. could be mistaken though.

i have a friend with a d16a1 in his 87 civic and his room mate has one in his 89-90 crx, they said it wasnt that hard, so i don't know how hard it is, actually i worked with him at a different store for a few days, but i don't know to much bout his car.

any knowledge on this swap would be sweat, the reason im really asking for his benifit, cuz he says he can pick up a zc head and i said do you know the stampings or identifing marks that makes a zc instead of a d16a1 teg head, and he's like well i didn't know honda did that, so i was finding out so he didn't get ripped off and it's good knowledge for me, id like a teggy motor, i havn't really decided, so maybe some more info in this thread will help me decide

peace

bump for more info
