Seems like the new McStruts are not doing very well. This is what I expected. Double wishbone is always the best!!!

"First to be noticed is the increase of understeer..."

"In short, the new Type R is more difficult to handle and no where as controllable or as fun to drive as its predecessor. "

Who was telling me that struts were as good as double wishbone?

We also have to remember that this is the first year of the new generation. It took almost three years to make the Type R from the G3 chassis. So, for a new chassis, it is a good start. They should have things "ironed" out in upcoming years. But, I still love my ITR.

I don't think you can make/tune a Mcstrut till it's as good as double wishbone.

IMO what I find most disappointing about the article is the implicaton that the RSX-S is as good as it gets for us in the U.S...not that it's bad but there is no "R" to look forward to.

I can almost guarantee that there will be a big change the second year of production (maybe 2003 or 2004) the suspension seems much too soft and despite the 6 speed tranny, the gearing seems to be a bit akward. the engine is perfect though!! If you can throw one of those in a DC2 it'd be sweet!

In the current issue of EVO, which I consider the 'source' of automotive expertise in regards to hi-performance, they gave the new type R a nearly flawless review. I don't have the article to post, but basically the car is faster around the test track than the G3 type R and out performs it in every aspect.
