what are the best valve springs and retainers to carry rpm's to 9000....I heard the skunk2 valve springs are good but the retainers could be better...any suggestions?

 

its better to have sk2 springs & retainers if you have sk2 cams, they work together best.

 

i'm running the skunk2 valvesprings and retainers(though nitride coated)

 

you dont have to get skunk2 springs with S2 cams

i would look around and research what people have been effective with

I am using portflow inners and ITR outer intake valve springs with portflow retainers. I talked to the guys over at portflow and they said they have several people who use portflow springs/retainers with sk2 stage 2 cams with no problem reving to 9k.....

 

IMO Toda has the best valve springs regardless of whether or not you are using Toda cams.

 

I have skunk2 stg2 with portflow valvesprings and retainers.
