That's true. It's only an electronic method of sending cash.

 

I didn't mean secure as in all transactions are secure, I meant secure as in no one gets your account info and credit card since it is an encrypted site, so you can send money without worrying about someone else getting it other than who is supposed to!

 

actually, it's a means of using your credit card to make a transaction with someone else who dosen't have a credit card system (ie. private purchase).

if you do get screwed, yes your protection from paypal is very limited. but you can go thru your credit card company and try to get a chargeback, but that would be against paypal. if u win, paypal can reserve the right to cancel services with you. someone told me this because there have been some who have made fake purchases using paypal, then claiming fraud and therefore bilking paypal of funds.
