just hit 70,000 miles
That is a good Q. Some would say that the usual 3-5k service is called for on a 5th gen. If the car has been driven hard then I would also do a valve adjust, brake fluid, tranny fluid and coolant replacement, rotate tires and oil change.
If the car has been driven really hard then you can consider replacing all of the belts-including the Timing belt and water pump. This again assumes you have no service history and have NO idea how the car was driven before you bought it. The usual/normal interval for the timing belt is 90-105k if you really know the history of the car and how it was driven.
I need to note that HOnda recommends that the belts be replaced at intervals not to exceed 6 years or 60k for many models of their cars. I'm just carrying this on to our 5th gen Preludes. The fluids should be done every 2 years anyway.
