In class today this kid was talking about how his brother had a gsr with an option of a supercharger from acura???? OEM supercharger??? I never heard of it! Is it true???
Absolutely not true.
There was a prototype SC'd AWD Integra in Japan, but it was underdrivetrain'd and never made it to production. Your buddy is talking out of his ***.

The dealership may have offered a SC as a delear option, similar to the "Comptech" models that some dealerships were selling.

But who would have manufactured the charger? Comptech works directly with Honda America. I don't know, but when I bought my car, they sure didn't offer me the option of a blower.

hahaha....the sad thing is. This string is going to be very long because I am sure he has said worse things if he just babbled about a factory OEM supercharger.

Maybe...MAYBE the dealership had an aftermarket parts section that sold parts and installed them in-house. My buddy used to do that at Honda. If someone bought a Vortech or JR kit from him, it would be like buying it from anyone else except he works at a dealership.
Definitely NOT an OEM part.

Here in so cali there was a option at one time where Honda dealers offerd a Jackson Racing model of the 1999-00 civic's with the JRSC on as well as suspention work and custom wheels.. Not sure about Tegs tho....
Ball Acura down in SoCal offered their gsrs w/ jackson racing superchargers. it also came w/ a dealer warranty. they also had deals on custom wheels.
comptech offered the jackson racing supercharger for a while. and if you can buy comptech from the dealership its covered under warrenty. i dont think you can get the s/c anymore though. they still have em for the accord v6 though.

I remember reading about a dealership who sold and installed SC's as a option, so you'd get to go faster and stay under warranty. Now this is 1(ONE) dealership I remember reading about and I'm pretty sure it was that dealership on its own that decided to do this. Some people may get confused and think of this as some kind of "factory option" offered by all dealerships.

The only SC that is considered "OEM" is made by Comptech for Honda/Acura. They make superchargers for CLs and Accord V6s. I think the TL may have on too but not sure about this....
But I never heard about a OEM SC for a Integra, it's probably a aftermarket SC.....

when we purchased our gsr at Serria Acura of Alhambra we had the option to buy the comptech s/c but decided not to. it was all under warrenty but up to 70k we opted for the 100k warrenty insted! they also had the kit for the nsx too !
There is no Comptech supercharger. It was probably a JR charger.
I cant imagine these dealerships actually warrantied the cars...thats incredible, especially given JRSC's tendencies to be very finnicky when not done properly.
