stock it kicks in at 5 right? so i'd say somewhere around there it would be good, or where ever stock starts, i can't remember if it's 5k or 6k, but i'd think you'd be aight somewhere around there

pretty sure stock is at 5400(maybe 52). i have heard for our cars, 4800 and 4700 is ideal. thats what im set at.

i heard one guy put it at 3100rpm. I guess he likes to hear vtec cruising at 70mph. Vtec cross over for h22 is between 5200, it may seem like 5400 cause the rpm will surge really fast.

-some say to set vtec at lil lower then stock, so you don't have to rev to 8k so you don't fall out of vtec.

5th generation engages at approximately 5200. i would set it at 4800. i dont think the secondaries open up till 4900. so why would you want vtec engaged when you're not getting much need air

Like someone mentioned.....around 4700 is where most VAFCs end up after tuning.

the small cam lobes should make power up to exactly 4750rpm....setting the crossover at 4700 is ideal with a stockish setup, or at least the stock cams.....anything else means your fuel consumption will increase and that is kinda the point of VTEC

For some reason there was still a dip when we set it at 4600 or 4700, thats why we lowered it. we-todd-did is down now but I'll try to put up a dynoplot later.

You really shoudln't touch it until dyno tuning..

we all know how accurate the butt dyno is. and you have no way of knowing if you are running lean or rich.
