Gutting your car makes it look like **** and undoubtably makes it louder inside. Why would you do that to a brand new car? a 92 Civic maybe, but an 03 SI?

Why would you even care what other people do with their cars. And yes it did "undoubtably" make the car louder, well not much louder after the exhaust was dumped. Oh and another note.... some of us on H-T really don't give what our cars look like. Come on its an ugly 03 hatch that alone should tell you something.

Well usually when people pay for new cars they also pay for warranties and things like nice new interiors. Why take the backseat out of your car to drop maybe .1 off your ET? Pointless. Its not like thats a dedicated track car, its an econobox with a peppy engine. I don't give a **** what my car looks like, thats why I drive a 93 hatchback. All I'm saying is that its pretty stupid to pull the interior out of your brand new car. That's all. What happens when you have 2 passengers....?

I don't understand why you're so persistent about taking out the rear interior....

The car was weighed with the interior in and then after it was taken out and believe it or not there is about a 90lb decrease which means a lot for people who do track days and autocross. The whole FF understeer dynamics are changed for a more tossable car, especially when the dampening is set correctly. So as you can see 1/4 mile doesn't concern me, but if you are wondering if it helps I did take the car to Milan Dragway once and managed a 15.217 @ 89.46mph with a 2.218 60ft. And that was with a fairly stock car mind you.

So if you would, drop the issue because its really getting old.

Don't get me wrong, I understand the physics of removing weight from the car - I just wouldn't do it to a new, slow, near stock car, thats all.

And that's the difference between you and me (as well as a ton of others on this board and elsewhere).
